Five years ago, I felt stuck.
I was trying to build an online business to help my family, and it was dead in the water. Nothing I did got me clients that paid what I needed to even break even, and with a new baby at home, I really didn’t want to do back to work at minimum wage for as retail store.
The odds felt stacked against me.
I didn’t have a college degree and didn’t have the money to pay for it. Since I never made a real effort to have a career, I had no experience in any field that would have paid a decent wage.
I had a high-school diploma, an almost blank resume that never got me any, and this almost unrealistic love for writing.
That was about it.
I was twenty-one, a new mom, and wife, but I was stuck.
No career, no real business, no experience, and no way out.
Three Years Can Make All The Difference
That was then.
But now, things a bit different for me.
- I work from home.
- I get to be with my kids every day
- I work part time
- I make enough to help pay bills (even buy our first house)
- I get to write for a living(!)
- I do work I find thoroughly enjoyable
- My work can go anywhere there is a WiFi connection
If three years ago you would have told me that I would be able to have all of this, I wouldn’t have believed you.
But three years is a very short time that can make a world of difference for you if you’re willing to break through the barriers that you put in your way or that others drop in front of you.

Life and Marketing, Simplified: How My Content Will Help You
In my discussions with many millennial tech founders, entrepreneurs, and side-hustlers I’ve found that many of us have something in common.
We want to do amazing work that leaves us feeling fulfilled, but we also want to nail down a work/life balance.
While Elon Musk might be able and willing to pull off 100 hour work weeks, most of want to be more than just a successful workaholic.
We want to do work that we love.
We want to learn and develop ourselves to become better people.
We want to stay up-to-date with marketing strategies and tactics because they help us do our work even better.
We want to enjoy life with our families.
We want flexibility in work and life.
In general, we want to grow, be better, and do more of what matters.
My articles and content I create will be based this:
Helping mostly millennial founders and entrepreneurs stay up-to-date with marketing and social media through in-depth research and expert interviews while also sharing ways we can balance that passion in life.
