What can I say about entrepreneurs? Honestly, we’re a bit of strange lot.
We obsess over personal development, staying goal-oriented, have a rather unusual fetish for accomplishing a work-life balance and we each have our habits that seem a bit… well, odd.
Maybe the entrepreneur pal of yours refuses to watch TV or Netflix because it’s a distraction from the hustle.
Or maybe they wake up every day at 4 AM to work out and read business books on the weekend instead of hanging out with all their friends.
Whatever it is, buying a gift for one of us isn’t always the easiest thing to do.
Rest easy, though. If you can keep these few things in mind, you can easily come up with one of the best gifts the entrepreneur in your life.
- We like to be productive. Making the most of our time is hard for everyone and most of us are terrible, but entrepreneurs know that time is money so we want to be better in the area of life.
- Health is a priority. A strong focus on taking care of our minds and bodies is a trend for us because if we’re dragging our feet, so is our business.
- We love learning. This isn’t even solely business based learning either.
Here is a long list of some gift ideas sure to win you some love this year!
Best Productivity Gifts
Full Focus Planner
Entrepreneurs juggle quite a lot of things in their life. We don’t get a standard paycheck so we have to hustle to put money in the back and food on the table.
Being able to do that comes down to a few things, but one of them is goal-setting and planning.
I’ve tested a lot of productivity planners and liked them all well enough, but the Full Focus Planner is the best one I’ve found for finding a work/life balance.
It’s more than just a goal planner, it balance planner too.
Making time for family, friends, rest, exercise and so on, all those things make for a well-rounded and balanced person.
It’s my favorite planner. My entire day-to-day processes have only gotten better from using it and I’m happy to be a cheerleader for something that’s benefited me.
But sending this to a friend or fellow entrepreneur is a great way to show you see what they are doing as valuable and that you support their work.

Noise-Canceling Headphones
Many entrepreneurs either work from home, in cafes or in workshare locations.
Just about all of these come with noise distractions.
Therefore, a great gift that is sure to win some happy vibes are noise-canceling headphones.
My husband bought me a set of these type of headphones when I was just starting to get my business going and they were a game changer!
I didn’t know how much the noise in our house distracted me until after I started using them.
So now I use them every day.
Nowadays, you have a lot of headphone options, both wired and wireless. I personally like Bose, but if you want more color options then you can look at the list of ones below.
- Bose SoundLink around-ear wireless headphones II
- Bose QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones, Apple Devices, Black
- Bose QuietComfort 35 (Series II) Wireless Headphones, Noise Cancelling
- Beats Studio3 Wireless Headphones – White
- Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones (not noise-canceling, but still really great for on the go)
Best Books For An Entrepreneur’s Expanding Library
So, one thing to always keep in mind about someone building a business is that we are constantly hungry to learn and grow in our knowledge and as a human.
With that being the case and as strange as it may seem, one of the best gifts that we love to get is books.
Yes. We love to read.
And while a book may seem to others like a lazy gift idea, to entrepreneurs, it’s like handing us money.
I haven’t read all of these, but I own most of them to read them in the near future. For the ones, I own, just look out for my signature 🍍 next to the title.
Here are some of the best books for that busy tycoon of yours.
- Cold Calling Techniques
- 🍍 How To Win Friends and Influence People (5 Stars!)
- 🍍 Compelling People
- 🍍 A Paperboy’s Fable
- 🍍 Real Artists Don’t Starve
- 🍍 Tools of Titans
- Will It Fly?
- 🍍 Eat The Frog
- Smarter Faster Better
- 🍍 Ogilvy on Advertising (If your friend is into writing for the web, this is a must for copywriting.)
- The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership: Follow Them, and People Will Follow You
- People Over Profit
- 🍍 The 12 Week Year (This was sort of life changing for me and my perception of time as it relates to goals and life. Highly recommend this read. )
- 🍍 How To Talk to Anyone
- 🍍 Feed a Starving Crowd. (This is an amazing piece of art. Robert manages to break the mold of average business books and tell stories that captivate while teaching you how to captivate people.)
Honestly, I could have made this list a mile long, but I think you’ll find something here worth a closer look. When all else fails a gift card to Barnes and Noble will suffice.
Other Great Gift Ideas for Entrepreneurs
Like most creatives, my brain is scrambled mess of ideas just waiting for something to be done with it. The great thing about Milanote is that it helps eliminate that issue.
It’s really just like a large whiteboard that one person just collect thoughts in a visual way. It’s utterly brilliant.
I love AppSumo. I love it, and my business-building buddies love it too.
The deals they have for entrepreneurs is always plenty and they’re almost always too good to pass up.
I’ve spent my fair share of money on this site and I’ve never regretted it.
To buy some credits for a friend, go to their site and click on the “browse” tab in the top menu option.
Scroll through the deals until you see the Gift Card option.
Click Buy Now, enter your info and you’ll be sent instructions how to get the gift to your deal ol’ pal.
Hydrating is super important no matter who you are or what you do for work.
I love my Hydroflask. I love that I can take it anywhere.
I love that once I fill it up and finish it that I know I did something good for my health that day.
This is great gift for just about anyone, but most entrepreneurs are health conscious and love these sort of things.
Sometimes, Starbucks is just too far to go for a good cup of joe. I’m pretty particular about my coffee, but boy oh boy does my Nespresso make my day.
The shots it pulls are better than what I’ve seen some barista manage and the taste is great. Plus, it’s nice to have my afternoon pick me up close at hand.
Feel free to feed your friend’s coffee the addiction with one of these.
Sit and Stand Table
Did you know that sitting all day has been proven to be just as dangerous to our health as smoking? Yeah, no good my friend. I learned that and picked up a sit-and-stand desk from Ikea a few years ago and it’s served me well.
However, today there are more options available that don’t break the bank. These two companies are rather popular and have different options for the style of standing desk options.
Air Purifier
Truth be told, most people who work for themselves and work from home spend waaaaaay too much time indoors. My house gets so dusty during the dryer months and it’s easy for that stuff to mess with me and my kid’s allergies.
My hubby bought us a Dyson Air purifier which has been a great investment thus far.
I personally love how you can connect it to your iPhone and see the air quality in your room.
When it kicks itself on, I know that it might be time to open the windows and let some fresh air in.
You already know how much entrepreneurs like to read, but we also like to listen to people read the books we own.
Audible is a great gift just for that.
A Premium Evernote Subscription
Evernote is not Google Drive. It’s infinitely better, in my opinion.
I love to use it to document my day and to transfer scribbles from my iPad back to my Evernote.
A whole year of Evernote is only $34 bucks so it’s a nice gift that doesn’t break the bank but that tends to win brownie points.
Personalized Moleskin Notebook
Truth: I have a very bad, very real obsession with notebooks.
Turns out, though, I’m not the only one. Most founders I’ve rubbed shoulders with are chronic note takers and we like to stick with our good old-fashioned pen and paper.
Moleskin is a great brand for notetaking and it gives you the ability to personalize your gift for added fun.
That’s All Folks!
Thanks for reading. Hopefully, this post sparked some ideas for when you want to grab your friend a gift.
